La Pinta is a friendly, well-appointed hostel in the centre of Chapinero, a district in the north of Bogota, fairly well-placed between the historic centre and the Zona Rosa (party zone). Whilst it is maybe not as well-placed for the historical side of the city, Chapinero is a fun, cosmopolitan area, with a wide range of bars, restaurants and artistic... More

I have stayed in dozens of hostels, and this is one of my favourites. Staff is very friendly and has great English if you are still getting used to Spanish. The breakfast is delicious (fresh fruit and variety of cereals and breads). 3 lounge areas and free wifi (computer available as well). TV, board games, garden out back where you... More

The rates are good here which will probably be your main reaon for chosing this hostel. Other good reasons would be the friendless of the staff along with the ability to meet fellow travelers. The location also appears to be in a safe neighborhood. And it seems to be fairly central as we took numerous cabs from here and I... More

I generally avoid hostels at all costs but was travelling on a friend's limited budget so went along with it. All in all, it was better than expected. The thing that impressed me the most was that the bed was very comfortable, the sheets new and crisp and the cover very warm and comfy. The shower was hot (as hot... More

La Pinta Hostel is located in a great area. Only 2 blocks to the supermarket and a 10-15min walk to the Transmilenio (a bus system that is efficient and easy to use). There are many restaurants and ATMs within walking distance. The hostel staff is AMAZING! So helpful with any questions, offering advice and suggestions about what to do. Most... More

The hostel was great! We had the most amazing time there. The kitchen and bathrooms were always clean, the communal area was used well and always buzzing and the breakfasts were really good. The staff were very friendly (especially David) and always willing to help with what ever questions we had. The hostel also organised daily activities (we did the... More
