I stayed there for about a month, met tons of amazing people, including the owner and the staff, just lovely. The breakfast was good and the bedrooms tidy.

We booked into this hostal because the reviews said it was nice and not a party hostal. It was clean and the facilities were good. However, the beds could have been better and the girls at reception were not very helpful, they preferred to giggle with each other than be hospitable. People smoked in the kitchen by the extractor (which... More

I stayed just one night at Martinik Hostal, as I was in between 2 planes. The location is great, you have everything within walking distance. Beds are comfortable and dorms are spacious. However, the hostal 'rules' state that it should be quiet after 11pm, but the staff organised a jam session which lasted till 1 or 2am... That was kind... More

We stayed here in March 2010 after a similarly priced place lost our reservation. It's clean and really basic with nice guests, staff, and backpacker amenities. However, if you want to sleep from 11pm to 8am, stay elsewhere. The sounds of socializing from the common area downstairs easily carry upstairs into the rooms and make sleep almost impossible. We switched... More

The staff are quite nice, but only speak Spanish and cannot give you any good advice about the city or travelling around Bogota. Miguel, who I think is the owner?, is helpful, but not there much. Our room was not clean. And the beds were uncomfortable. But it's a really nice building. There is free coffee, cereal, and internet.

Stayed 2 nights, found the hostel to be professionally run, tranquil and very enjoyable. Reasonably priced, clean and has alot of little touches that most hostels don't have such as free comptuer and internet access. Highly recommended if your loking for friendly budget accommodation in Bogota.

Martinki hostal is in the perfect location to check out the Candelaria, Bogota. the rooms are fine but freezing! so make sure you ask for some extra blankets at reception. the hostel has open common rooms which are great for meeting people, and everyone goes out to party so you still get sleep...and yes the common rooms are cold (the... I was a long-stay guest at Hostal Martinik, and had a wonderful time here. I stayed in the great value single private room and got a 10% discount for staying more than 10 nights. I almost always got a good night's sleep, the only exception being when the 'party hostel' next door played loud music - something the owners are... More

Just finished a 3 night stay at hostal Martinik and have to say the staff truly make this hostel. Upon arrival you are greeted with a friendly face, the owner speaks English and Spanish, a map of the local area and a double page sheet outlining things to do and how to get around - very handy! We were in... More

Owned by a Swiss guy and his Colombian wife. Nice vibe, also free wifi (and free computers as well), free coffee, and fun events organized for the guests. Only downside is that the hostel can get really loud at night.. but if you’re looking to join the party scene and meet good folks i recommend :)
