Had a very pleasant stay in Cranky Croc hostel. The hostel is equipped with a wide range of services, comes with very friendly and helpful staff and provides breakfast or dinner in the in-house café. The hostel is close to the major sites in La Candeleria. All in all had a very pleasant stay and would come again! More

Standard backpackers hostel with a friendly vibe, good location in La Candelaria, very basic rooms and great hot showers! (Amazing after several days of rain and cold showers.) Dorms and private rooms, all with shared bathrooms. We stayed in a private room/double bed that literally was big enough just for the bed, but that suited our needs just fine...it just... More

What a great hostel. The young girl behind reception when i arrived was super friendly and welcoming on my tour of the hostel. The dorms were great. as the weather is so cold, it was the first time in my travel where duvets were provided and this was a relief. it reminded me a lot of home. also they come... More

This hostel was really friendly, with a good kitchen and TV room(with an open fire!!!) and lots of computers available (not for free). The dorms are fine, though a bit cold. When we arrived (relatively early in the morning), they let us check straight in which was great after an overnight bus. The breakfast is not included but there are... More

The croc is a fine example of a hostel set up by a fellow traveller, they've thought of everything you may need. The dorms have very comfortable beds, with huge lockers, power outlets inside the lockers - you need your own lock - and reading lamps. The kitchen is fully decked out too. The TV lounge is complete with fireplace,... More

Plus points: Friendly staff. Very secure hostel with CCTV at front door and locks on the double rooms. Rooms were very basic but comfortable and most importantly clean. Beds were comfy. Good hot showers. Good WiFi signal. Minus points: Not really there long enough to comment on. Overall: We only stayed there for one night. My Mrs was ill (nothing... More

We stayed in a private room with private bathroom. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Our room was located across from the common area (computer room, kitchen, TV room) so it was loud as travelers would hang out late. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend this room. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable... More

As far as hostels go, Bogotá's Cranky Croc is everything you could ask. It has a reputation among travellers as one of the best in the city and it's no wonder why. Clean, friendly staff, affordable and in the backpacker central - La Candelaria. More
