The building is art work, very impressive. The rooms are spacious, clean and have balconies. We ate two dinners and a lunch in the hotel and liked the food and the presentation. The location is good as it's richt on the sea and south-west facing. The staff (at reception and in restaurant) is not unfriendly but generally disinterested in the... More

We stayed in Hotel Casapueblo for two nights in the end of February 2012, for a weekend getaway without our kids. We splurged on a stay in Hotel Casapueblo as the concept of staying in Carlos Páez Vilaró´s sculpture, which looks like it was transported from Greece, was fabulous! I´m glad we made this decision. The hotel is a feast... More

I've always dreamed about staying at Casapueblo. The architecture is simply AMAZING, and the sunset views are indescribable! Though I've read all the critics here about the service, I decided to stay there either way because I always wanted to do, and so I was kind of prepared to deal with a bad service, but that was not even close... My husband is from Uruguay and we visited Casa Pueblo on one of our outings just to see it and get pictures of the view. When you first walk into the main entrance (where they charge you $120 pesos each just to get in the door, although they discount it from whatever you eat or drink in the restaraunt) the... More

Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite was a great place for my family of 5 during our 7 day stay in PDE. First impressions are all good. This rock/adobe hotel and its museum is the stunning landmark of Punte Ballena. Bus loads of people flock here to see romantic sunsets every night and enjoy the cool breezes. We never tired... More

Someone is asleep at the switch! Despite the unique architecture and fantastic sunsets this is not what I could describe as a hotel. 1) Poor service, unhelpful and disinterested staff. 2) Food quality is substandard with little choice. 3) Antiquated elevators poorly maintained 4) WiFi limited to upper lobby only with poor seating arrangements 5) 50% of property dedicated to... We stayed at this hotel for one night. Had a nice room with a semi-private balcony overlooking the sea and beautiful sunsets into the water. Upon examining the night table drawer, we were greeted not with the typical bible, but rather candles. I joked with my girlfriend and told her the power must go out often. Sure enough - Next... More

I agree with many other reviewers that this hotel is a beautiful work of art, unfortunately lacking in service. I stayed 4 nights at this hotel with my dad. We both enjoyed our stay. I'm a designer, I love art and architecture. For that reason I absolutely love the design of this hotel, and feel lucky to have had the... More

This hotel is unique in the fact that they blasted a side of a cliff and put a hotel there. It has good views. It is on the Ocean so that is always a major plus. However, the good news stops there. It is run down, the furniture is junk and things don't work. Even because it is unique it does not... More

Most amazing view of the ocean. This hotel is located at the edge of a cliff in Punta Ballena and has some beautiful / exquisite / interesting / artistic architechture most probably based on mediterranean houses and Gaudi's works. One side of the building has better access to the elevators, on the other side you will need to take some... More
