We stayed at Bonne Etoile just one night. Friendly staff, fast check in and limited parking. Breakfast is just reasonable, with a basket of bread and "media lunas", butter and jelly. Room was clean but air conditioner was noisy. Shower spread water all around but was nice and warm. If you do not want to spend too much it's OK.

If you are going to Punta searching for glamour, this is not the place to stay. It's a very simple hotel, with no luxury at all. Room was a bit dated but very clean - large bathroom. The night clerk was the only one who spoke English, but all staff were friendly and helpful. Basic breakfast buffet. Excellent location right downtown - close to shopping, restaurants and beaches.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Punta del Este. It is the low season and we found this very nice propertyfor an excellent price. Run by a mother and son for over 30 years, it was quiet, well-located and spotless (staff were constantly cleaning). It was a most enjoyable stay.
