The hotel offered very good service, nice rooms, good restaurants, bars, etc. Conveniently located close to the airport, perfect for on-site conferences. Especially the front desk staff did very well in their hospitality efforts.

Qatarairways offered me the room during my transit from Shanghai to Cairo via Doha. The whole process was so easy and comfortable after a very long flight. I have been in Doha in the Oryx Rotana from May 5th to May 11th and I can describe it with one word: FANTASTIC !!!! Excellent people at the concierge, restaurant CHOICE (for breakfast and dinner) as well as all around. I was scared by the very close airport (noise from plane...), but...... incredible !!!! Stayed here for one night before our connecting flight with my wife on New Year's Eve! The dinner they laid out for New Year's was excellent. The rooms etc. were as you would expect from Qatar - very good.

“Good value for Qatar Airways layover”

I was allocated this hotel (Owned by Qatar Airways group) on paying USD150 for transit accommodation between badly connecting Qatar Airways flights. (Their web site says it 'may' be free but my travel agent found out that its very difficult to qualify for 'free'. In my case it was 20 hours between flights, with no alternative available - didn't qualify!).... More
