Always wanted to stay at the Hotel Souq Waqif and finally got the chance. Fantastic location, espcially if you are there to take photos as it is in the souq, on the corniche and everywhere is walkable. Having said that this is just as well as the facilities for parking a rental are not at all good and is probably... More

Doha is succombing to the Dubai-disease, and, unlike in Oman, it's hard to find much that reminds you where you are. The main exception to this sad state of architectural affairs is the Hotel Souq Waqif. On the edge of the bazaar of the same name, its architecture echoes that of several large buildings within the souq. Perhaps best of... More

I chose the Hotel Souq Waqif for my 2-night stopover in Doha based on TripAdvisor reviews, because I wanted a hotel in walking distance to the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and, always being fascinated by souqs, to Souq Waqif. Although the hotel is a bit pricey, particularly if you are travelling on your own, I don't think I could... More

The souq itself has a lot of character and this hotel sits snugly in it. The rooms were nice but nothing to rave about. I didn't try the restaurant. Heavy luggage is a disadvantage not only because the rooms don't provide a suitcase stand but more because the taxi cannot drive up to the doorstep when dropping you off. Also... More

If you are staying here because of it being in a prime location, stop. You should be staying here because the staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast very good. Leaving the airport taxi, I could smell the spices from the souq. From my room I could see the water. Hotel blends into the neighborhood... More

Hotel Souq Waqif is an excellent and luxurious hotel located in the heart of the colourful market area of Doha, Souq Waqif. Everything is of very high quality including service, giving special attention to detail. As an example, breakfast, where the food is presented like art on a plate. The building itself is very luxurious to detail with marble floors,... More

I have been to several hotels in my life yet nothing compares to this hotel so far. It amazes me of how a boutique hotel such as this offers quality service and opens a window to arabian culture at the same time. Just perfect. The Souq Waqif and its nearby museums is just ideal for travelers who wants to be... More

Souq Waqif was closely the highlight of my trip to Doha. Staying here really felt like you were being apart of the city and the atmosphere of the Souq Waqif right out side the door added to the authenticity of the hotel. The rooms were handsomely decorated. Staff was very friendly and helped out in anyway they could. Do bring... More

A really nice hotel in Souq Waqif. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated and the bathroom was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive and always ready to help. The hotel is a short (15 minute) walk to the Museum of Islamic Art and the waterfront. It's also in the heart of Souq Waqif which is a facinating place to... More
