A very gloomy room with a strange smell, the shower/bathroom was very grubby with peeling paint. It was almost impossible to open the french windows to the balcony more than a few inches as they were stuck. Breakfast was very poor, tasted stale and old. The staff however were helpful, not over friendly but pleasant. The area wasn't too bad,... More

Hotel is just off the Hamra street, so quite close to everything, except night life for party. If you want to go out to fancy bars, you will need a taxi. Which is quite cheap anyway, but don't take the one standing in front of the hotel. That is expensive and they will overcharge you, and the problem that the... More

So I spent seven nigts here in August 2011. The good thing was safety: there was a safety locker in a room which one's code I could decide by myself. Majority of the staff was also appropriate and helpful and I got help whenever I needed that. For example with using that safety locker. I think that the location was... More

I stayed here during a ten-day visit to Lebanon in May/June 2011 - the first night as part of an organised tour for eight people, then again solo for three nights at the end of the trip. The hotel is pretty well located just off the western end of Hamra Street, so it's only a ten-minute walk to shops and... More

Mozart, composer of modest classical gems, must be rotating in his grave at the thought of this hotel taking his name in vain. The hotel is pretty convenient for the thronging, bustling nightlife of Beirut; mainly because most of it seems to be happening outside the front door. There are no restrictions on the use of car horns or stereos... More

Hotel is in a good location in Hamra, 10 minutes walk from the Corniche, however, it is 20 minutes by taxi from downtown. Lots of construction going on, so you cannot get a proper night's sleep. Front desk service is surly and they are after your money all the time. Stayed here on my last night in Lebanon. Having been... More

I stayed at the Mozart last week, on a weekend break, all arranged by a tour operator from the UK. The only plus was the location, at one end of a very busy street so we found a few places to eat. My bathroom ceiling was a piece of modern art with all the flaking paint, but the major minus was... More
