I am a california resident and have traveled to a few countries in Europe and the America's. One would have to compare this hotel with other facilities available in Tehran. I found the room very clean, staff friendly and polite and helpful. The breakfast was ample and very adequate. Please do not compare with hotels in US. I took my... More

we paid about $70 for a room with two twin beds. It's not luxurious and has the feel of a 70's-era hotel that's in need of an update. But it's clean, friendly, well-located, and has all the basics covered including three free internet terminals just near the entrance. It's not far from the old US embassy and close to the... More

Right after arrival we got an unwelcome feeling. The receptionists keeps asking about our reservation. While we told them our names and our agent name, they didn't seem to understand and keeps asking for reservation. After telling them our nationality they got it and arranged our room. We didn't felt a sign of friendliness though. The same feeling we got... More

We stayed for only a night in Iranshahr, but it was worth it. Staff is friendly and speak English, it's in a central location and the rooms are quite big. It's a bit more chique than you would expect from a three-star hotel, but then again, so is the price (a double is little under $100 if you don't bargain).... More

Unfortunately, in contrast to ticket prices at major attractions, maybe I am missing something but the duel pricing for hotels appears to remain. Iranshahr Hotel is described in Lonely Planet is “reliable”. Having stayed there twice now (ie: stayed there, travelled around Iran a bit, returned for two nights before departing Iran), I’m not sure what that means. First time... More

I stayed here in late March with a friend of mine and we paid about $70 for a room with two twin beds. It's not luxurious and has the feel of a 70's-era hotel that's in need of an update. I was somewhat nervous before checking in this hotel. I had booked 5 nights and did not want to pay up front before I see the rooms and how clean the hotel is. Let me tell you. For a $46 a night hotel. This hotel is perfect. Its spotless, very quiet, A/C working perfectly, wireless always working, shower always hot, bed... More

I got diverted here after Hotel Engelab cocked up my reservation, and thank goodness for that! The Iranshahr was better located, cheaper and more homey. I stayed there for six nights in total over twenty days in April 2008, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Like the Engelab, it's in the business district of Tehran, but unlike the Engelab, the Iranshahr is... More
