I. Had gone to Tehran for business trip. We had used a travel agent to arrange the travel and rooms. They had offered us a decent rate. All was well till we arrived in the hotel. We had 5 rooms. 2 in East wing and 3 in West. The rooms in the West was bad. No modern power sockets, TV... More

We had a very short visit to Tehran and due to our flight hours although we had a booking for 2 nights I spent around 6 hours in the hotel. My colleague told me that this hotel is the only good choice in Tehran and it used to be managed by Hilton in the past. The look from the outside... More

I am using this hotel for business reasons. Ex-Hilton but far away from his glory. The good thing is that the hotel has many restaurants ( Italian , Tai , Royal Cuisine , Lebanese ). The rooms are big and bathrooms with big spaces. The breakfast is good , but don't expect too much. Avoid the Lebanese restaurant and also... More

I had to stay here a night due to circumstances beyond my control as the company that had invited me had chosen this place. Lousy hotel and terrible service, no one in charge that can make a simple action to ease the pain of every thing that is going wrong mostly due to their incompetence. I also stayed at the... More

We stayed at the old wing- and the rooms and the entire property indeed looked dated. I just find it uncomfortable that the reception have to keep our passports. I think most hotels where I stayed no longer do this. We got a room with a view of the mountains which I think would be a lot better than looking... More

This is my 6th trip to Iran and my 2nd stay at the Esteghlal. I read the other reviews, some of which were pretty spot on and others less so I think. For new travels to Iran, firstly note that you should definitely come. Forget about the politics or the perception painted about Iran. The people, the hospitality and the... More
