Esteghlal Hotel (Ex-Hilton) was the greatest 5 star international hotel in Iran, but now it is only 3 star level hotel by my estimate. I stayed this hotel from April 16 to 21 to attend the Oil Show, Tehran, it was not clean in the room, poor equipped.

yes, the hotel feels and looks a bit tired. However given the sort of hardship the sanctions are currently imposing on the Iranians it did manage to beat expectations by a considerable margin. Staff is helpful and speaks decent english. Rooms are big and clean. Only real issue is the fact that you can't pay with plastic.

Hotel is good and is relatively clean and its location near the shopping center with two stations. But the old building and it is expensive and not 5-star hotel.

Very nice , very clean , very polite . You may only have trouble if you are a TV addict like me . We may easily say there is no TV at the room , so bring your DVD's with you if you like to watch before sleep .Highly recommend

Stayed at the Esteghlal for 4 nights in October 2011. Found the hotel service to be pretty good except for the cafe in the lobby (very lazy staff!).
