This is a great hotel to stay in. The staff were amazingly helpful and cordial. I stayed on the 14th floor. The view of Tehran from my room was breath taking. The restaurants and the room service were great as well. I was there in May 2012.

Esteghlal Hotel (Ex-Hilton) was the greatest 5 star international hotel in Iran, but now it is only 3 star level hotel by my estimate. I stayed this hotel from April 16 to 21 to attend the Oil Show, Tehran, it was not clean in the room, poor equipped.

Well, I stayed in this Hotel for two nights. comparing to other top class hotels in Iran I would only say: "it is the second of all," for tourists and travelers who really want to enjoy every minute of their stay. However, if you want to have a business gathering or a conference , well it is good place. The... More

yes, the hotel feels and looks a bit tired. However given the sort of hardship the sanctions are currently imposing on the Iranians it did manage to beat expectations by a considerable margin. Staff is helpful and speaks decent english. Rooms are big and clean. Only real issue is the fact that you can't pay with plastic.

Hotel is good and is relatively clean and its location near the shopping center with two stations. But the old building and it is expensive and not 5-star hotel.

Tehran is such a strange, fascinating place, and after a lot of research this was the only hotel i could find that seemed good and reliable for a work related trip. The communication with the hotel was rather precarious, no email reply, my office managed to get a fax through them, but i was never quite sure if my reservation... More

Very nice , very clean , very polite . You may only have trouble if you are a TV addict like me . We may easily say there is no TV at the room , so bring your DVD's with you if you like to watch before sleep .Highly recommend

Firstly, I should say that I did not pay for the hotel so perhaps that is why I am a bit more positive than others on the review. the rates for the room are $200 and above. It might seem a bit steep for Iran but really all the decent hotels in Iran are expensive. And no longer is there... More

Stayed at the Esteghlal for 4 nights in October 2011. Found the hotel service to be pretty good except for the cafe in the lobby (very lazy staff!). The room itself is a little dated, but large and comfortable (I stayed in the West Wing - the East Wing was pretty shabby). Room service is excellent with breakfast being served... More
