The hotel consists of 2 part: the hotel itself and a seperate appartment part. We stayed in the appartment part. It was simply amazing. Our room was huge, with 2 big beds, a couch, a flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. The bathroom was not really big, but the shower was huge and very comfortable. Everything... While the Al Safir is a little old it does have a wonderful Arab charm and is passably clean (a smidge of dust, but such is the bane of housekeepers in the Middle East). The bed was lovely and the hotel was restful and quiet. Unfortunately the service was a nightmare. Check-in took 45 minutes, the receptionist took my ID... More

Gulf Air cancelled our flight and lodged us here for 10 hours. The coach took an hour to come. We were a family of three and alloted a room with twin beds with an assurance of a third bed , which never came, in spite of one reminder, resulting in one of us sleeping on the chair. The room was... More

Located in a newly built area, it is not easy for a person coming for the first time .Shoping areas are not close. You have to walk 10-15 min to Shabab Ave to find pizza &coffe shops. Breakfast is muslim dedicated, you will never see an english breakfast. Rooms are aceptable . Other small things makes me feel not so... More

Staff of the hotel is co-operative but takes time for most of the time. Food of the hotel is good. Sligtly noisy hotel, but very good amibience. Good... More

The organizer of our event had booked a two bedroom suite in the Tower, for me and another person. It was huge, with two large bedrooms, each with it's own bathroom, plus a guest toilet, a large living room and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast and dinner were ok, the room was clean, the staff helpfull, nothing... More

Not a bad place for a transit, many passengers for Gulf Air delays are dropped there. (And treated a bit rudely by the check-in staff; passports are locked up during your stay there, without clear warning, as a safeguard that the passenger pays for the extras like drinks instead of hoping that airline or hotel does this...) Room on 2nd... More

Overall quite clean, spacious and quiet. The room was nice and dark, perfect for sleeping. Decor a little dated, the alarm clock didn't work, it appeared somebody had gotten into the minibar and 'sampled' the bottles and the bathrooom smelled funky, though appeared clean. The Al Safir isn't really somewhere to linger, but was well-priced and got the job done.... More
