First of all. The resort is in a remote area far away from the capital manama and the shopping malls. However it is close to the formula 1 circuit if you are in bahrain for F1. I stayed twice at this resort back when it was a Banyan Tree. The first time was simply, "Magical", yes lie the iPad :-p lol, no really it was amazing in all aspects. the second time it was still a Banyan Tree but you can easily notice the quality of service going down. This resort was built as a Banyan Tree Spa but last year Banyan pulled out over a financial dispute. Financial problems seem to persist with the local papers reporting a few weeks ago that the electricity was cut off due to non payment.
