I had been to this hotel once in 2008 as this is where one of our customers made a reservation for us then. I only had a vague recolection about it. Since then, I've stayed at other hotels in Riyadh including Holiday Inn Olaya, Sheraton, and also the new Hilton Garden Inn Olaya. This trip, I asked another customer to... More

I stay here regularly on business (only due to the location and special company rate). The rooms are very old, not well maintained, and not very clean. Marriott are doing a poor job in the Middle East, and this is a prime example. The food is the only good thing here, and service is not bad.

As many other reviews have noted, this is a very old and tired property. Built in 1985, the infrastructure is poor--the toilets don't flush well, the air conditioning is occasionally nonfunctional as it was for me with the fan in one room neither working nor apparently fixable by the two nice technicians who tried, and the decor is tired and... Stayed for eight nights. Thought that the gym was well equipped and the swimming pool was a good size. The room had everything that you needed, but the fittings were old. The shower pressure was weak. The Internet was expensive and slow. Breakfast included in my rate was good with plenty of choice. The evening buffet in the Mosaic restaurant... More

I have stayed one night at the Marriott hotel in Riyadh , and it was one of the worst Marriott hotels ever , you feel yourself that you are in the 80's , they didnt changed anything in the hotel , and the rate is really high comparing with the hotel rooms , I will never recommend this hotel even... This is by far the most depressing Marriot I've ever seen. Not only everything about it is so old, the management, service and staff are inexperienced and unhelpful. I don’t recall anything good about this hotel beside their new conferences and wedding hall “Makarem”. For those who decide to have their wedding there, just be aware that everything you put... More

I visited Riyadh in Dec 2011 and stayed and Riyadh Marriott. Very tricky entrance and a messy loby due to refurbishment the propert is going through. Room given to me was renoveted and was very comfortable and smeeld new. The service at the hotel is great although and good food at the Mosaic restaurant.

The atrium hotel has wonderful interior design harmonious with the Arabian theme. The bedrooms while clean and comfortable could use an upgrade. Service was excellent. There was a spacious fitness center but curiously the treadmills did not seem to go very quickly. Buffet breakfast was a treat with a wide variety of dishes offered. Rooms seemed dark and could benefit... More
