At the end of a two week tour of Israel, I decided I wanted to stay over an additional day. After two weeks of vacationing and traveling my funds were running low and my bags full. I needed a hotel in a nice area but on a budget. After reading numerous reviews, I settled on The Maxim Hotel. The rooms... More

I have stayed at the hotel Maxim in late November 2011 for a few days and was quite satisfied with my choice. The location is close to the beach and very much walking distance to the main streets of Tel Aviv that are of interest to the tourists. The Bograchov street next to the hotel has a few restaurants, cofee... More

I stayed for a week at this hotel. The rooms are OK. The breakfast is delicious with wide choice. I like the staff and owners of this place who provided information since this was my first visit there(unlike many other reviewers who did not like the front office team). The street is a very busy one outside and so noice... More

We (2 people + 1 infant 15 month) have been there in sept. 2011. the lobby is quite beautiful, the breakfast tastes good. the support in the hotel is very nice, everyone helps you. another great plus is the very good position. the beach is to be reached by feet in 1 minute. a small kiosk and a mc donalds... I guess the people who are giving this hotel bad marks simply expected too much. The price of this hotel is less than half of local Holiday Inn or Best Western. And, it is across the street from the beach. Yes, the building is older and the rooms are worn. But, everything is super clean! Everything was in full working... More

I am writing this so fellow travelers will not be slightly misguided by previous reviews. Yes, this hotel is by the beach and the price is "right"-- and for that perhaps worth staying. However there are many drawbacks to this establishment: less than helpful and apathetic (sometimes surly) desk staff, mediocre breakfast, worn-down rooms that are not entirely clean, uncomfortable... Beautiful view of beach and it's right across the road! Good breakfast and the chef will anything you want. Parking was free but full, so parked for 35 NIS across the street which is discounted by the hotel. My agent screwed up and booked us accidentally on the day before we arrived, but the hotel didn't charge us for the... More

Found myself a little behind in the planning process and couldn't easily find available rooms in Tel Aviv for the dates I needed. Yes, this is solely my fault. I was relived when I found availability at the Maxim, well, I was relived until I got to this dump. The rooms are worn, the window had a snabby curtain which... More

Decent choice, decent value, after staying at a few others in the same price range. Walk a block to the beach, nice beach. A good number of eating choices nearby, I would book there again. More

The hotel was just what I was looking for: the best location, nice rooms, friendly staff, huge breakfast, free Wi-Fi (though not always the strongest signal) and the best - free parking!! (I don't think that any hotels give something like that in Tel Aviv. Price/value was better than all the other hotels I was checking (booked directly through -----------).... More
