The location can't be beat. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room, though not large, was well planned out, with sufficient space for luggage, for unpacking, with a desk and chair as well as a very comfortable bed, and small, though tidy private bath. Take advantage of their generous complementary breakfast. And their extended hours let you sleep... More

A very nice place in Jerusalem, well situated in the german colony. Just 15min by walk from the old city. The room was simple but clean. And if you like to go to the movies, there is a very nice art cinema just next to the hotel ! More

Friendly, very helpful staff. Clean comfortable room, we chose the room NOT next to the cinema, preferring to pay a little more for some quiet. Despite this it can sometime be a little noisy because of the floor boards (noisy shoes from returning guests) and some guest loudly talking late at night as they returned. The character, price, friendly staff,... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night this time, it was our second stay and we came back because of the perfect location, and the extremely helpful and nice staff. The rooms are simple but cozy and homey, panel wooden floors in stead of a wall to wall carpet, a small bathroom but new and clean. The hotel seemed to... More

This is a budget acommodation, do not expect a luxury. Our room was not very large, the common spaces could be a bit cleaner and the breakfast room would deserve a more cheerful decoration. But: the reception staff is extremely helpful, the breakfast was OK and for dinner you can choose from various restaurants situated on a neighbouring street. More

The location is great, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the lobby free computer was an unexpected bonus. Although the room was clean, my bed wasn't made up often, which wasn't good and I suspect the only "cleaning" done was to leave fresh towels for me and empty the wastebaskets (although, being alone, I didn't create much... I stayed here 7 nights. It was inexpensive, close to a great restaurant area, and walking distance to the Jaffa gate. They had a wonderful Israeli kosher breakfast each day. Service was good, room was clean (a little dusty though). Staff were young and nice. Bilingual--Hebrew and English. Downside-- not handicapped assessible. A little dark and depressing, could use some... More

I came from NYC for a family wedding...1st time in Israel; had found the place online. I was well pleased with my 7 night stay; nice small room, slept well, loved the great breakfast and the helpful staff. The location is good and I will stay there again. More

WE had planned to stay at this hotel for 3 nights as it was recommended by friends. Although set in a wonderful location in the German quarter, about 20 minutes from the old city walking, it is modest at best. Our biggest issue was the noise. Even when the movie theatre (below the hotel) was not operating, the walls were... More

Dear Guest, We appreciate you for taking your time and writing a review. I am sad to see that you had an unsatisfactory stay. As for your complaints, our hotel is a charming and inviting European-style hotel, located in a Templer building. Therefore we don't have carpeting in the rooms, in order to keep the essence of the German Colony.... More

Stayed here in the Gottlib's Zimmer room with my friend for two nights. Great location! just steps from Emek Refa'im with lots of cafes and placed to eat. It's only a 15-20 minute walk from the old city, 1 minute from a nice running path, and 15-20 minutes from the shuk and other shopping area and bars. The staff were... More
