This hotel is more like a dorm if you will. The beds are dorm like and the romms have no carpeting on the floors. That said, it is still a worthwhile budget-conscious traveler's option. We had a spacious romm which actually had three beds for us two travelers. Our particular room had a rather dismal view of the back courtyard... more

This is a budget hotel so do not expect for a swimming pool! I really enjoy my stay at the hotel: I arrived on saturday night (shabbat) and the owner waited for me for the check in. This guy is great and continuously give me several tip and advice during all my stay. I had a room with a balcony... more

The best thing about this hotel is the location - at the Zion square, right at the crossing of Ben Yehuda and Jaffa road, well within walking distance of the old city. The proprietor is a delightful gentleman, who is trying to help out as best he can. The hotel was one of the cheapest in the area. When we... more

The owner of the hotel is really welcoming and friendly, taking a great interest in talking to us and accommodating any of our needs. Prices seemed to be flexible. Location-wise it cannot get any better - right on Yafo St and a couple of steps away from Ben Yehuda Street. All up, a great place to stay with very reasonable... more

The Hotel Kaplan is extraordinarily well located for its price. It is ten minutes from New Gate, Jaffa Gate, and just a few more to Damascus Gate and the Arab bus stop. It is steps away from the pedestrian Ben Yehuda street, which has so many excellent bars, restaurants, and boutiquey shops. Location-wise, you CANNOT get a better deal. The... more

This hotel is reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, in a great location and has a kind, considerate owner. The hotel has a computer that guests can use at no charge so you don't have to go looking for an internet cafe. It also has remote controlled AC so that is a bonus for a small hotel. As a single woman travelling... more

The room was a bit worn but clean, and the bathroom was small and has only a shower. Overall, it's a good budget option in a great location. If you want creature comforts, go elsewhere, but if those aren't important, you'll be satisfied with what you get for your money at Hotel Kaplan. more

We arrived for one night in jerusalem and asked the taxi driver for a good hotel. He took us to Jaffa Road, Opposite the Holy Bagel. The room was very basic but very clean. Air con if you want it, but we opened the window and looked out on the hustel and bustle of Jerusalem. The hotel is near the... more

My stay at the Kaplan hotel was a very very pleasant one. It is a very affordable place right in the heart of Mercaz Haeer (that means the city center, the most happening place in Jerusalem, especially for the night life). The rooms was a pretty good size for three people and it was very clean. If you are a... more
