We saw the good TripAdvisor reviews and decided to give it a shot. When we arrived at Jerusalem, we made out way through the alleys and found the Guest House. We entered and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in a comfortable lobby with stone columns, courtyards, etc. That was the end of the pleasant surprises. We received our room... More

My review is for a 3-night stay from May, 2011. Sorry for the delay in posting about it. I am ever the procrastinator and thinking too much about my NEXT trip rather than the previous. But hopefully that doesn't make my opinions/experience any less valued to the Trip Advisor community. My experiece with the Luthern Guesthouse begins stateside. My flight... More

I stayed at the Lutheran Guest House for three nights in mid February. I had a single room, which was small but very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a good working shower. Breakfast is very basic, but enough to fill me up for the morning. I found it difficult to locate restaurants for dinner short of... More

Its quite easy to find and is in a good spot for visiting the old city, although you will have to walk there from the Jaffa Gate and with luggage is a bit of a pain. Its also is in a good spot to get into the new parts of jerusalem which you willneed to do if you want to... More

Yesterday we have stayed one night in this guest house. It has an optimal location in the heart of the old city. The room was quite clean and the beds comfortable. BUT It was so very cold it was a torture to shower there and to go to sleep/wake up in such a cold room. Also breakfast was quite lame... More

20 yr old male travelling with 60 yr old mum Great location for soaking up old city vibe (so everything closes at night) and pretty close to info centre (don't take their work as fact though...we went all the way out to the train station on the outskirts of Jerusalem following their directions only to find out there weren't any... This guest house is in the heart of the Old City, walking distance to all sights and has great views from both it's terrace and from the rooms! The morning buffet breakfast is also a wonderful way to begin the day! We stayed here 4 nights and were highly impressed. The rooms are a bit small, but if you are... More

My family and I stayed for three days in the center of Jerusalem. The Lutheran Guest House is clean, confortable, modern, yet simple. The breakfast is great, and the location unbeateable. It has an old computer that people can use for free and there is a wifi zone if you bring your own. Great value for the money.

We stayed here as a couple, and it was a pretty good experience overall. The location is perfect, the whole place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is sufficient. Where it really falls down is the staff. Some of the staff (Johnny in particular) are fantastic, but others are just atrocious, which kinda messes up the... More

Our experience here was very positive. The rooms are modest and comfortable; the furnishings and facilities are nice. We were so pleasantly surprised to look out the window and see the Dome of the Rock. The location is quite good for the Old City, near the Jaffa Gate. As TravelMaven noted, you must walk cobbled paths and stairs the Old... More
