The rooms are big - we had a double bed and a couch which could have unfolded to be another double bed. In spite of the location, with the Dead sea on one side and the desert on the other, no rooms seem to have a view on the sea and very few seem to have a view on the... More

The Ein Gedi has potential, and provided you recognize that it has basically grown up from a few shacks on a kibbutz it is pretty pleasant. That said, given the prices it should aspire for something more. Accept that if you stay there you probably will have to have all your meals there, because there is nothing close to the... More

We are return visitors to this lovely and pristine paradise. This time it was still better, since a spa with sauna, hammam (no steam in the hammam, but the sauna was nice) and a pool with the Dead Sea water appeared immediately in the kibbutz in addition to the spa on the beach. If you choose between big spa hotels... More

Set in a botanical garden by the Dead Sea beneath towering desert cliffs lies the Ein Gedi Hotel, not far from the oasis known as David's Stream. While the rooms are modest the cuisine is very good and the scenery all around quite breathtaking. Wild goats sometimes wander in from the desert and into the hotel grounds. There is a swimming... More

i have been there twice its relatively expensive but the location in the middle of Israels most spectacular botanic garden and the fantastic restaurant the tranquility and frendliness of the people in the kibbutz is outstanding so the surroundings -the spa on the dead sea and the walks or tours in this national park or the visit of the ancient... We booked 4 nights in Ein Gedi, and we run away after 1 night (we had to stay the night to get our money back). As we approached the place we couldn't believe that was it, looking like a badly kept dirty building site. It doesn't get better as you get to the worn out full of cats reception and... More

Ein Gedi Resort was really an oasis- the spa was incredible, the grounds were beautiful and it was definitely a better experience than booking a big hotel on the strip. However, when booking a room- DO NOT opt for the cheaper room. The desert view rooms looked as if they were from a hostel and not worth the price. They... More

This is a kibbutz that happens to run a hotel as a business. The place is quaint, quiet, well located. The rooms are antiquated but clean and efficient. If you'd like better rooms book the Aterot rooms. The food was simply the best I have had in any hotel anywhere, it's all fresh and local, so super tasty. Included with... More

:-)'s: It is an oasis in the middle of the desert. A good place to stay if you want to experience Massada, the Dead Sea, Ein Gedi National Resort and much more. Rooms are surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden. Breakfast and dinner were great. Friendly staff. Don't miss Synergy Spa even if you're not going to book a massage.... More
