I'm sure this place is fine in nice weather, maybe even nice. In winter, there is no central heating and the room unit is nowhere near adequate to heat up the place. I slept in two pairs of long johns, my jeans, my sweater, my coat. It was no fluke either, as I met another traveler who bailed on the... More

I can definitely see what makes Boomerang so popular in the summer. The location is great, the staff fun and interesting, and the actual guesthouse is beautiful. For us, the price was good and so were the showers. The only drawbacks were the lack of heating apparati in the dorm room and the slightly unclean bathrooms. Just ask for extra... More

The Boomerang is well situated near the museum, the dolmus parking area, bars and restaurants. Abdulla speaks English quite well and it very willing to assist in translations when seeking transportation or lodging. The hotel is recently remodeled and quite inviting. We had a smaller room which was nicely arranged with new furnishings and a large bathroom with plenty of... More

Perfect location. 3min from the bus station. Right next door to one of the best and friendliest restaurants we've been to throughout our whole trip and very helpful staff if you have any enquiries. Someone even picked us up from the bus station upon our arrival, which was a nice surprise for us. We didnt even tell them our specific... More

We arrived there without a reservation and found Abdullah and Tom so very helpful and accommodating. Abdullah suggested...and even organized a fabulous itinery whilst we stayed in Selcuk and then spent a considerable time finding cheap flights from Izmir back to Istanbul (which included a free shuttle bus to Izmir). Nothing was too much trouble. Being part of the grey... More

I so enjoyed this place. After Tom (owner, manager) came and greeted me in person at the bus station, we wakled across the parking lot and through the park and up the hill to the Hostel. I liked the outside look of it right off. Nice, clean room with hot water most of the time. (if you get in late... More

We (two aussie girls) arrived early in the morning without a booking after an overnight bus trip. Abdullah and Tom were very accomodating of our disorganisation and soon got us settled. The rooms were fantastic, very clean & comfortable - the best we had in our 3 week trip around Turkey. The hostel had a friendly vibe and the owners... More

Nice place, friendly owners, plus a cool rooftop restaurant for breakfast, tea, catching up on good book, surfing the net, etc. Plus there's a very good & affordable restaurant directly next door. More

We arrived in Selcuk without a place to stay and were very happy to discover Boomerang for our two night visit. Our room was big and spotless, and the bathroom was gigantic - great value. Abdullah and Tom shared opinions, suggestions and information freely. The guesthouse itself is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the bus station and... More
