We arrived for our reservation for two rooms in late afternoon. The gentleman on duty seemed to have no idea that we had a reservation and we had to show the emails which had been sent back and forth. He then showed us a room in the old section - said we could not stay in the new section. The... more

What a fabulous place this is. We arrived in Selcuk really late having had an exhausting 14 hour trip overland from Istanbul. We called the hotel to say we were going to be late and asked them to keep the doors open! Not only did they keep the doors open for us but they also came to pick us up... more

We took a room for €45 on the first floor in the original building, however the cheapest rooms of all on the grounf floor for €30 would have been just as good. The pool area was wonderful and the jewel in the crown is the roof with the bar, restaurant and cozy corner complete with hookah. The views of Isa... more

I didnt stay here as it was not available (so I put only four stars for what I cant comment on), but since it was my first choice, I walked in the hotel to check for last moment cancellations when I arrived. The person at the reception was extremely helpful with advice where else to stay and with calling in... more

We arrived here stressed with no luggage on our first day in Turkey. The friendly staff quickly put went out of their way to help us; the kind of people you'd like to see in every hotel. The location is convenient to everything while far enough from the center to be relatively quiet. Our room was small and spartan but... more

We stayed there for 3 nights in the modern part of the hotel. The rooms are big, nice furniture, clean bathroom, probably the most modern hotel with stayed in Turkey during our 3-week trip. The pool is clean and refreshing after hot days and ruins visit. Breakfast on the roof terrace is perfect. The only think I would recommand is... more

I stayed at Akay Hotel for three weeks while doing research at the Ephesos Library across the street. It is a GREAT location if you are going to the library everyday! But even if you are not, it is across the street from a seventh wonder of the world (the temple of artemis) as well as the Isa Bey Mosque.... more

We stayed at Akay for 6 nights of our recent holiday in Turkey. We were generally happy with it. Good points: * Location * Excellent (though small) pool and sun terrace * Really friendly and helpful staff (best piece of advice - visit Ephesus late in the day - we were practically the only people there and we watched the... more

I made reservations through e-mail at the Hotel Akay and they made it quite easy. I booked one of their cheaper rooms but when we got there we got one of the best rooms in the hotel because they didn't have any of the cheaper ones available. They gave us the room for the same price! The room wasn't ready... more
