For the price, this hotel was excellent. The location was perfect for exploring Old Town. Every morning they had an incredible, huge breakfast buffet, perfect for starting the day. The pool and sauna downstairs was also a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English (not entirely common in Istanbul). I booked a single room, which was... More

We stayed in Sapphire from Jan 14 thru Jan 20, 2012. This hotel was recommended by my brother who had stayed there earlier. I am so glad he did. The most important requirement for a traveller is the comfort and security that he must feel when staying overseas, and we certainly felt assured in Sapphire. It did help that we... More

I stay for 7 days at Sapphire as partly for holidays and to attend a wedding. The first great thing about the hotel is its location right in the middle of all great tourist attractions of the old Istanbul (Aya Sophia, Topkai etc.), but also being closely situated next to a tram station made it an excellent start point to... We stayed two nights at the Safir and, although the rooms are quite small, the beds are comfortable, room was very clean and the location could not be better. The hotel staff were very welcoming and obviously wanted guests to enjoy the hotel and the city. They were responsive by email in advance of our arrival in arranging transportation from... More

Hotel Sapphire has a real Turkish feel to it and we were really impressed with the style and quality of the room decorations. Think gold cornices, inlaid timbers doors and dresser. Completely different to the run of the mill chain hotels. We loved it. The room was quite small, which is fine for two, but if you are planning for... More

This hotel is really in the center of everything, but on a quaint narrow street that adds to the ambiance. Our room was very clean and the staff were extremely gracious. We'll take a hotel like this any day over the more grandiose western style hotels. More

We stayed here over the w/e 6-9 Jan '12. Staff are ourstanding/exceptional. Small rooms with free tea/cofee/kettle facility, electonic safe and very warm c/h. Free wifi. Only had breakfast meals - huge and varied menu in a comfortable dining area. Pool, - not used. Hotel ideally placed for old Istanbul attractions, but not recommended for children - little for them... More
