We were very happy with this choice which was recommended by Pasifik Travel. The only negative thing was that we were given a room that smelled of cigareette smoke. Otherwise it was a very nice, spacious room. The gentleman at the desk was very understanding about our complaint and offered us another room. We declined since the other room was... more

The hotel was more or less what we expected from reading other reviews but the rooms (we had asked for a triple for extra space, having heard the rooms were small) are rather functional and spartan - and the beds very hard(!) to get used to. Our room was also next to the lift/stairs on the first floor so there... more

The hotel is just downhill from the Blue Mosque, making it an excellent location for exploring some of Istanbul's most popular sights. The breakfast is substantial and delicious and eaten on the terrace if the weather is cooperating. What made this hotel so special, however, is the staff. My friend and I waited 24 hours for our luggage to arrive... more

We stayed for four nights and had a great time. We had two different rooms for 2 nights each, and rooms ranged from cozy to quite spacious. We arrived at night and the hotel is very unassuming - almost to the point of being a bit disappointing from the exterior. However, the view on the terrace at breakfast more than... more

The Hotel Eguvan is a small comfortable hotel located down the hill towards the Bosphorus from the Blue Mosque. It is situated in a traditional neighborhood of homes and restuarants and is a ten-minute climb up the hill from the main tourist area. The area is quiet and safe, only a little street work and the weekly farmer's market set... more

Stayed at Erguvan Hotel for 7 nights. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, location is great, and neighbourhood is interesting. Breakfast on the terrace was nice, though heard from friends at other similar hotels about much more elaborate offerings. Was glad to have WiFi in the room. Airport pick-up was included in the rate (staying longer than 3... more

This hotel is with walking distance of the main sights and restaurants,it's very clean and the staff are helpfull.I would give it a higher rating except that the rooms are quite noisey ,you can hear the other guest moving around in their rooms quite a bit.I also found the breakfast buffet a bit poor,it needs a bit more choice and... more

Stayed for 4 nights in the Erguvan Hotel recently, for a short break in Istanbul. The hotel is in a good location for visiting the old city with all its sights and attractions - in 5 minutes you're at the Blue Mosque or the Hagia Sophia, but be aware it's quite a steep walk. As with the rest of the... more
