We had a wonderful stay in Dec 2011 in the Armada. It is very well located for sightseeing, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean and eveybody is very friendly. The roof terrace has a beautiful view of the Hagia Sopia and the Blue Mosque. More

The location is ok, you do have to climb up to the top of Sultanahmet to see the sites and then come back down again. Spent two nights here back in April (meant to write sooner than this) and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It's a bit of a ways from the airport, but ideally located for visits to the many historical attractions in Istanbul.
