We stayed at the Marmara Taksim Hotel on our recent visit to Istanbul and it was great. Very nice employees and food in the restaurant was very good. Location was very good in the middle of a very bustling area for shopping and dining and general sightseeing.

This hotel in the newer section of Istanbul and located right in the heart of Taksim Square. The restaurants were great and the room expansive. Even though you have the noise and hubbub of the square the reception, bar and restaurant is located on the second floor to give you a buffer.

The Marmara Taksim was an excellent hotel to stay. Excellent view, excellent location and excellent service and breakfast :) Next autumn when I go back to Istanbul, I will invite my mother to The Marmara. Easy access to all sightseeing points. Was here for 3 nights on business. Expensive hotel, but its quality does match. Very comfortable place to stay, excellent breakfasts and scattered with a nice bit of Turkish charm. the bathrooms were a bit old and low-spec for a hotel of this price.
