I visit Istanbul twice a year and I've stayed at several hotels. Ares Hotel is the worst of all. The owner asked us to pay in advance whereas whe did not even see the room. The rooms have nothing to do with the pictures on the website. Rooms are so small that you can hardly go from the bed to... More

Just stayed at Ares hotel with my two daughters, aged 21 and 23, for a five day holiday in Istanbul. It's a small hotel in the heart of the historic - and tourist - area. Great location for sightseers: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Architectural Museum, Roman underground water system all within 500 metres. Two minutes walk from hotel to... More

A very good service. From the reservation and marketing manager Mr. Ayhan to their restaurant staff who are very accommodating, and friendly to us during our stay. Even helped us arrange our bosphorus tour, airport pick ups and not to forget their free turkish & apple tea. A very strategic location, just a stones throw from the Basilica Cistern, blue... More

Ayhan, reservation manager was a great help, he arranged tour and airport transfers for me and my friends. Food in the hotel restuarant is great as well. Kudos! To the entire hotel staff!!!!

Very good location, just a walking distance from most of the tourist spot in Sultanahmet. Very accomodating staff especially Mr Ayhan the reservation Manager, he helped us for our private car pickup in transferring to another airport and arrange some tours for us. The services of the whole staff were excellent! Great value for a budgetholiday!

We got a pretty dungeon like room, with no windows, very tight space , smelly, although it was clean but rooms not good. It would have been ok if you are traveling solo, or couple that doesn't care abt romance, or someone who just needs a bed at night. Me my husband and we have a 10 month old baby... More

Near all the tourist attractions in istanbul. Rooms are not massive but are absolutely fine. Friendly helpful staff. Didn't have any problems there. We still got around all of the city including the asian side fine. Ares is 2 minute walk from sultanahmet tram stop.
