My fiancé and I stayed at the Venus hotel for one night months ago and we still talk about how bad a place it was. We travelled through Turkey and I found the Venus Hotel last minute online, it seemed alright with good reviews so we booked it. When we arrived in Istanbul it was really hard to find the... More

We stayed in Venus for just a night in November 2011 and was the worst overnight in a b&b in my life. The place appeared to be closed from the outside, noone responsible there to see us to the room, only a Bulgarian guy who turned out to be the only staff of this business. He was also responsible for... More

I don't recomend this hotel to anyone! We stayed there one night and in the morning when we were moving out i realized that it's missing 70 lira in my walet. I was sure about the amount which i had because the day before i changed it and just after i went back to the room. I left my bag... More

Good location - not more than five minutes to major attractions (AyaSofia and Blue Mosque), a quiet street, good view if you are lucky enough to have a room with a balcony. Rooms spacious enough for two people, bathroom - tidy with new equipment; furniture - rather stylish, big and comfortable bed. Air conditioning, fridge and TV working all right.... More

nice location, (two blocks from Blue Mosque) a little hard to find, rooms were very small, no lift. small stairs but the rooms were clean and the staff friendly. view was lovely from the rooftop dining area. If you are on a budget and only planning to sleep in the room it is a fine hotel. no frills but did... More

We stayed on July in VENUS HOTEL for 9 nights. The first 2 nights we were in an interior room, number 8, but we couldn't almost sleep because of the noise of the air conditioner machines and the strong bad smell in the bathroom, so we asked for a change and the rest of the nights we were in a... The hotel owner must have a friend with good internet skills. The site promises all sorts of things but the reality is different. The room was not tidy. We had to ask for new and clean towels because our ones where getting smelly. The bathroom was never cleaned. Proof: the amount of hairs still floating around the sink. The room... More

Venus Hotel has an excellent location in Sultanahmet, just a few minutes walk from all the major sites. Visiting out of season we paid 50 euros / night for the room and this was reasonably good value given the location. They were also very helpful in booking restaurants for us. The hotel website gives the impression of the bedrooms being... More
