I stayed in Ulaanbaatar for a few days for work and was very pleasantly surprised by the new Ramada. The rooms are very comfortable and service is friendly. The Edge bar seems to be the place to be.

Despite the hotel being reasonably new, I was overall disappointed. The rooms are small and very poorly finished in a standard of workmanship test. The heating in the rooms will bake you. Location is at the far end of Peace Avenue. The staff and breakfast did however exceed expectations. In summary poor value.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the last 6 months. The beds are very comfortable, but I do find the rooms to be very small. They do tend to overheat the rooms in winter which is a problem everywhere in UB. When it is -30 outside, all buildings are very warm- too warm in fact. Opening windows...

Have now stayed at the Ramada in UB 2 times (August & November 2011). First time stay of 5 nights the hotel was just a few weeks old and did have a few opening issues - like lack of hot water one morning (but still had hot water in the showers in the gym area). The feel for the hotel...
