My husband and I stayed at Mixay Guesthouse in a double room - it was clean and the bathroom had hot water. Given the price and location, we had no complaints about the room itself. However, it's worth mentioning that the staff were completely disorganised - people's rooms were double booked, we were told to come at 10am and then to come back at mid-day to check in...we decided to go to the market and, when we got back at 3pm, the room still wasn't ready as they had forgotten to clean it.

Overall, if you've been in Laos long enough to be relaxed and patient, this is a decent choice...if you will be just getting to Laos, tired and wanting a smooth arrival, this may not be the place for you. more
