On the whole our stay at this hotel was very pleasant - the rooms were clean, a very decent size, modern fittings, very large TV and well located between the Mekong and the main attractions of Vientiane. They also served a very good and large breakfast and the staff were always very polite and attentive. The only problems we had... more

We stayed for two nights enroute from Phonsavon Plain of Jars to Pakse. We paid US$27.50 a night for a top floor room which was very large. After staying in some dark and gloomy places both in Phonsavon and Pakse I remember the cleanliness and light of the Vayakorn with pleasure The reception staff were friendly and helpful and fixed... more

We had a pleasant overnight stay at Vayakorn Guest House. Booked by email with no problems. Our room was attractively furnished and clean, with A/C and TV. Hot showers. There was free WIFI in the lobby. Service friendly but we had trouble booking an early bus to Luang Prabang (we felt the staff were having difficulty understanding us) so ended... more

This guest house was wonderful. The room was spacious and teh bathroom was clean. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful, and while we did not ask them any questions or utilize any real services aside from checking in/out I am sure they would have been prompt and accommodating. The air conditioning worked, but it was an uphill... more

Though at the top end of our budget, Vayakorn Inn was a tremendous value (note we are writing about the new Inn behind the Guest House of the same name and management -- we're sure that place is great as well, but did not stay there). The rooms were very well appointed, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and... more

I paid USD 25 for a double room. Though that's at the top end of my budget, it was completely worth it. Good location, fantastic staff. The room was very comfortable with lots of storage space, a desk, a seating area and a private bathroom with a hot shower. Free wifi throughout the hotel is definitely a bonus, though the... more

I travel to Vientiane regularly and always stay with the guys at the Vayakorn. It is great value for money, nice rooms well decorated, clean and well appointed. It is also an excellent location being right in the middle of town. The staff are polite and helpful. For a night or longer the deals are pretty good here. But book... more

Paid US$20/night and only stayed there for 1 night. Breakfast is served at additional US$2.50 but we didn't try that so no comments. Listed in Lonely Planet as author's choice, which might have added a few dollars on the price tag (it was USD5 cheaper when the LP was published...) Staff spoke considerably good English. We booked in advance via... more
