First thing to know here is that there are two separate enterprises going on under one (very big) roof: the vintage Soviet-era Dostuk Hotel operating to all appearances unchanged; and a separate hostelry being called the Club Dostuk located on the 5th floor (the subject under review). A strange arrangement, or part of a trend conjured up as a b-school...

I find it hard to believe the other reviews - were they written by hotel staff???
This hotel is actually one floor of the Dustok hotel that has undergone a cheap renovation. I dont have any complaints about the room. The breakfast cannot be called breakfast. I would happily eat local food, but the options were toast or toast.

Ok, so this is not the hotel to impress your friends from the outside, it is a typical grim soviet monster, but the lift takes you to level 5 "Club Dostuk", where you meet all the mod cons you need. Everything is new and clean, fresh white sheets and towels, Hot water, bath and comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent wi...

I stayed at the Club Hotel Dostuk for a week and I must stay the quality of stay was higher than expectations. For $90 USD the room is cosy (seems recently refurbished) with LCD TV and comfortable bed. It's a bit small but OK for one person with a desk and multiple electrical sockets (european style). There is a free...

having stayed at Hyatt this hotel has rooms as comfortable at a fraction of the price. Breakfast is simple but enough. Staff speak English and are really helpful. I recommend this 5th floor club hotel wedged into a truly soviet hotel and run separately.

- an oasis of relatively newly refurbished rooms in the 5th floor of the otherwise nightmarish soveit monster "factory for overnighting"
bad things are
- poor breakfast compared of what you can get in other places in bishkek, with remarkably...

This hotel is the 5th floor in the old Soviet behemoth, Hotel Dostuk. It could not be any more different than the Soviet-style rooms in the old hotel. The location is a few blocks from the center of Bishkek, including many government buildings on Chui Prospekt.
The outside entrance is the same as that of Hotel Dostuk. That means you...
