My husband I stayed at the Anise Hotel for two weeks. Jeff volunteered at the "Hope" hospital each week day and I explored the city alone. I used the same Tuk-Tuk driver each day and want to highly recommend Mr. Sothea, who drives the "Flower Tuk-Tuk". He spoke English and I felt safe with him. The Hotel and restaurant staff... More

I really enjoyed the location of this hotel: it is in a nice part of town, away from the noisy busy and touristy centre, but at the same time at a short distance of the Royal Palace. Very nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was large and very clean. Views were not good though (only roofs and buildings), but... More

I stayed here on a few occasions this month whilst in and out of Phnom Penh doing some NGO work. Very clean hotel, safe, great location even for a morning jog, staff are very hospitable, and the restaurant cheap but really great. I had to force myself to leave the hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2012 and really liked the hotel, it is in a safe location close enough to nice bars and restaurants and only a $2 tuk ride to the river front. The hotel has a really relaxed feel with a very nice terrace where you can relax while watching the world go by. The rooms... More

I stayed in the Anise hotel for a fortnight before moving into a flat. The room was very adequate with all the necessary facilities. It was kept clean and laundry done promptly each day. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful and the service and food were excellent. As I was travelling... More

We were delighted with all aspects of our stay in the Anise. All the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Our trip to Siem Reap was organised quickly and efficiently by the deputy manager, Mr Sokheng, who was particularly helpful. We hope to stay again during future visits to Phnom Penh.

I've never stayed in the hotel, but on a whim a friend and I stopped to eat here one day and I have been coming back at least once a month, ever since. I'm an American expat and I come here when I'm craving "Western" food done right. They have single tables where you don't feel awkward sitting by yourself... More

We have stayed here 4 times now (2008, 2009, 2012, 2013), and still love it! Staff is helpful and friendly as always, making you feel very welcome and at home. We stayed in the Deluxe King, which has a large bedroom, separate living room (quite dark as there is no window, but just open the door to the bedroom or... More

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. The food's good and the outside restaurant area is a great place to eat or have a relaxing beer. Always a tuk tuk driver outside to take you anywhere you want ( $20 for the day). The front desk will organise your trips, onward transport etc without any fuss. The stairs to the 4th floor... More
