Despite having been here for less than 20 years, the FCC somehow manages to pull off a patina of historical. The good bits: good location, great dining spot for the balcony, 5-7 happy hour is pretty good, staff are friendly and a few are stand out efficient and take things seriously. Positives - big room, great breakfast, good location and views, service generally pretty good. Managed to get this place last minute after a someone cancelled their booking and we had a pleasant time. Price was good, location is perfect, right in the thick of things and close to restaurants and bars. I had a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the river at the side of the hotel for $60USD a night, including a scrumptious breakfast. Comfortable bed, classy furnishings and huge bathroom with a massive high power shower and quality toiletries.
