Ive stayed at Soka Heng a couple of times on short trips to Phnom Penh. The location of Sokha Heng is great, right near the riverside with a great caff on the corner. The rooms are clean, bright and have a great shower. The only downfall being the lack of lift, so staying on the higher floors can be a... More

Clean guesthouse with large rooms, very good value for money. TV, fridge, good furniture. It's close to the riverside (and near the royal palace) No lift. A few PC's downstairs if you need to go online. When I was there there was construction going on next to the building, so noisy during working hours (they started quite early). Hope it's... More

Stayed 2 nights including new years eve. Room clean and spacious for $20. Pleasant & helpful staff arranged a car to our next destination. Only drawback for late sleepers or room-dwellers is the noisy construction site next door. Jack hammers between 7 am & 5 pm won't bother you if you're out and about. I'll be back at the end... More

Stayed here for a few nights at the start of our trip to Cambodia and again at the end. Hotel is clean, all rooms have air conditioning and fridge and big, well equipped bathrooms. Hike to the top floor is a drag in hot weather but apart from that no complaints. Breakfast good enough and water cheap to buy. Enjoy... More

I booked one of the apartments for a two month period in the hotel in person in advance. I told them I would return the following week to make arrangements. The following monday I called to make sure there was no problem with holding the room (note, all three apartments and most of the hotel were empty on my visit).... More

The hotel did not respond right away to our request for a booking via email. In the meantime, I called to make the booking. There reception workers did have limited but our requests/questions were always met. Good value for the money, the triple room was big enough to fit our family. We did put the kids in one bed, they... More

Had seen the reviews and booked Sokha Heng for 2 days. Front staff was friendly but didnt have answers to some questions, due to language problems. From there it went downhill, had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with luggage to get to our room. Room was ok, would have liked to have more than 2 threadbare towels in... More

For only $20 a night per room we stayed at Sokha Heng. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The most things to do / see at downtown Phnom Penh are at walking distance. Do not buy your waterbottles at the street ore nearby shops, the hotel sels it; cold and pritty cheap.

We really liked staying at Sokha Heng. Reasonably priced ($30 for big triple room that fitted the 4 of us easily), quiet, good location and clean. Being with youngish kids (6&9) we spend a little more time in our room than most people, to cool down and get away from the bustle. The high roof makes it feel roomy. Breakfast... More
