This year I brought an entourage of 4 university students to accompany me on a volunteer stint and we stayed the first night here. Everyone was surprised by the clean & spacious rooms and the close proximity to restaurants, markets, etc. We had a few meals at the restaurant as well, all very good, especially the noodle soup and iced... We were here for 8 nights in March 2012. Very nice hotel. We stayed in the new annex across the street. Very big room, well laid out. All room amenities worked fine, A/ C, mini fridge, 2 bottles of free water per day. We can't get over the fact that many hotel rooms in SE Asia don't have a separate... More

We stayed here for 3 days. Decent location in Phnom Penh. We had a room in the corner with 3 beds so we did have more than enough space! Rooms were clean, our bathroom was of pretty good size and clean also. No lift in this hotel but staff very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast outside on the street was really... More

We were a group of 32 (29 high school students) and we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly & nice and breakfast was delicious. The hotel was located very close to great bars and restaurants and the main street along the river. This is a great hotel for people on a budget; it is... More

Maybe it was because Phnom Penh is my least favorite city in Cambodia or because it really just is subpar. The hotel staff was GREAT. They were extremely helpful and ready to answer your questions but every thing else was average. The wifi was extremely slow and unreliable. The rooms had beds, a fridge and a barely functioning tv (which... More

The positives -Okay rooms, cleaned regularly. Staff was accommodating, shower was okay, hot water worked. -Wifi required me fiddling with the settings on the hotel's computer as the staff had no clue how it worked, but in the end we got it running. -Generally the employees were friendly, without being pushy. -No signs of bedbugs, or cockroaches or any nasties.... Our stay at the Dara Reang Sey was comfortable and pleasant. The room was spacious, with a balcony & street view. The staff were helpful and attentive. There's no lift, but with the fantastic arrival service you won't need one for your luggage - mine was carried up the stairs and in my room before my feet hit the ground... More

The hotel is really nice.. good location, has Wifi, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice restaurant downstairs, and a very kind owner. i was allowed a free early check in and they even helped me book a tuk tuk to the PP airport at a very reasonable price. The room tariffs are a bit on the higher side for Cambodia but... More

Like the other negative review, I had problems with tv noise from other rooms in the hallway and from downstairs. The management admited they had noise issues, but didn't do much to fix it. Rooms were small, but basic. I have been here before, but it has become worse. For $6 us, you can get a guest house near the... More
