The journey from the airport at Hue to the hotel is about 45 minutes and whether your taxi driver takes the back roads (with farmers drying their crops in the middle of the road) or goes via the city outskirts, you have an opportunity of seeing Vietnam and Hue in fascinating scenes. It's worth haggling over the taxi fares as... More

Firstly the good points about this hotel, we turned up at 08:30 after a night train from Hanoi, despite being so early we were able to check in. The room was beautiful and the setting is stunning. Ok, now the downsides, if you are looking for a hotel in Hue this hotel is not for you, it is a good... More

Glad we bumped into this place via a search in planning for our Vietnam trip. The best parts of Vietnam, in my opinion, are the frenetic major cities - Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi. However, there is a classiness and pride amongst Hue residents that we found disarming. They enjoy their small city lives, and wouldn't trade it for the... More

Greetings from sunny Hue and thankyou for your kind words. You are spot on about your description of Hue and it's people. I feel travelers get a 'real' sense of Vietnam and it's people when visiting Hue. In fact the people of Hue are renowned throughout Vietnam for being gentle and kind. Thanks for your constructive criticisms. As always they... More

So pleased you enjoyed your stay and thankyou for your comments. Such a shame your wife had her accident I hope she has recovered. Only yesterday Ms Ha was asking if I'd heard from you. The team will be very happy to hear everything is fine. Look forward to welcoming you back next time. More

Appreciate your kind words. FYI we have no intention of increasing our rates for the next 2 years. In fact, during winter we will be lowering rates even further. Although winter isn't exactly ideal for a beach vacation. Hue is still a great destination for culture, spa and cuisine. One of our companies mantras is to deliver value for money.... More

My partner and I live in Viet Nam (lucky, or what?!) and have visited Hue on several occasions. We have previously done all the touristy things - citadel, tombs etc, so our visit this week was for relaxation only. This was the first time we have stayed at the Ana Mandara but it certainly won't be the last. These are... More

Thankyou very much for your kind comments. I feel blessed working with a team who simply love to take care of our guests. It's very refreshing. Your right, Mr Nhan is a champion and is currently working on new dinner menu. Incorporating some of his Thai experience. A nice alternative to the wonderful Western and Vietnamese dishes. Keep your eyes... More

My husband booked this resort for our 10th Anniversary, and we stayed the first week in April. We had a lovely time and the staff were always very helpful. We also upgraded to a beach front villa and this was money well spent as it was ideal to relax on the terrace first thing in the morning and last thing... More

Congratulations on your anniversary and thankyou for your comments. I must confess that your comment about upselling excursions is probably my fault. Due to overzealous application of recent sales training. It's a fine line between upselling and overselling. Your comments have been relayed to the team. This weekend has been Vietnams independence day celebrations which means a lot of families.... More

My husband and myself spent 6 nights at the resort with our baby son 14 months old. We had already a great pick up from the airport by Mrs Hong who had excellent English skills. After a 40 min drive from the airport we arrived at the beach resort. The location is approximately 30 min away from Hue which you... More

Greetings from Sunny Hue and thanks for your comments and suggestions. Greatly appreciated. I totally agree about your comments about activities and they are being addressed as we speak. We're also going to introduce some theme nights and evening entertainment. As nice as it is to have a chilled out atmosphere, having a few activities also enhances the experience. Thanks... More
