Fantastic, amazing buffet breakfast, good location (located a 5 minute drive out of the tourist area). Great pool: although the hotel itself isn't catered towards a family. Very happy.

This hotel is spotless; the staff are conscientious, friendly and do their utmost to ensure a great stay. The area is not great, but that is easily overcome by the six daily complementary scheduled shuttles to District 1 (main commercial area, Cathedral, Reunification Palace, and market). I loved the following attributes: great beds, pillows, and linens; daily soft towel change;...

We stayed at the equatorial hotel for a total of 5 nights. Everything was fine, breakfast was pretty good, they had a large selection of foods you could choose from at the buffett.
The location of the hotel is a little far from district 1 where all the fun things are happening. It's in district 5 which is about a...

This is my follow up review for Hotel Equatorial. Our two seperate stays in three weeks at Hotel Equatorial ended with mild approval, but overall I still feel they completely miss the point of service, especially after staying at the Carlton Hotel Singapore. Apples and Lemons (Hotel Eq being the lemons).
I feel they cannot hang on to their five...

Rooms fairly old but perfectly clean...

I am happy to stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the office during a business trip. It is also walking distance from a good restaurants and novelty shops in the artsy section of saigon. I had been travelling across Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia for a 7 week extended trip and luckily was in a prime position to suitably compare this against its peers in the region.
From start to finish of our stay within the Hotel both my partner and myself were unhappy with the stay. The Hotel appears to have just box ticked...

a big hotel with a good breakfast, district 5 is a good walk from where it is all going on, but that was not so bad in the scheme of things. Try the steam and spice restaurant, food great but ambience could be less clinical. Decoration a bit tired as in the pool, OK for the start of a big...

We stayed here in November and the hotel was first class, it is central and has all the services you need, with a great outdoor swimming pool. The banquet breakfast was amongst the best we have ever encountered in our Asian travels...we would definitely stay here again.
