This hotel was very convenient for all the sights, as it is in the same road as the war remnants museum and one road away from the reunification palace. The centre of town is about a 15 minute walk away if you have the stamina! The room was adequate, with a flat screen tv and minibar, although I think the... More

I stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Ho Chi Minh City in March this year. It's a pretty standard mid-range hotel offering comfortable rooms and a roof top pool. The pool was sadly closed for most of our stay here, which was a real shame as a pool is a great asset in a city as hot as HCMC.... More

A nice clean hotel with a somewhat formal service which is fine.Everything clean and cleaned well, the pool is great and a welcomed refresher from the hot sticky city. Breakfast buffet is brilliant, not really for westerns but that is no reason to complain and gives you a good opportunity to taste Asian breakfast, although toast and bacon is available... More

We stayed at the Victory Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City for a week. We arrived at 8pm, were given a nice room on the 4th floor. It had a large bathroom with a bath/shower, a king bed, a bar fridge, flat screen TV, room safe and a balcony with a view of the street below and a sports centre beyond.... More

Spent 10 nights there recently and have to agree with most of the reviews. Great pool during the weekdays, forget about weekend when it seems like the local swim team invades the pool for the day. Also guests from other hotels can pay to use the pool. Room another story, dirty and I do mean dirty carpet that is usually... More

Stayed 5 nights at the Victory Hotel Saigon and overall it was a fairly average stay. Postives: - good sized rooftop pool (although it tends to get busy early evening and weekends) - about 5 minute walk from the Reunification Palace - some bars and coffee shops nearby and not too touristy - a LOT less hassle from street-vendors/cyclo drivers... For 40.- US$ a night for the double you cannot complain! The room was big, we've had two beds with good mattrasses, TV, free WLAN. It was clean and quiet. The pool was not so nice, the mattrasses at the pool were dirty and the towels often already used and just put back in the shelve! You should ask for... More

Spended five days in HCMC and glad we stayed here. Had the deluxe room and couldn't hear the traffic at all even though traffic is very heavy all over. Breakfast was very eastern but was to live with. We loved the rooftop pool area. Spend several hours uphere before or after doing some sightseeing. Location to central areas/sights is fine.... More

The real selling point for me with this was the pool, as in HCMC it seems that you're fairly limited when it comes to non multinational hotels with a pool. As it was really humid and hot, having a pool to cool off in after a day wandering around the city was a real bonus. The hotel is really close... More

We picked the Victory Hotel because it was close to all the main attractions. The furthest was less than a kilometre away after a pleasant walk. It's also a quick (and very cheap) taxi ride into the city centre (The Rex Hotel rooftop bar for the Five O'Clock Follies and some great restaurants including Vietnam House and Lemongrass). Victory Hotel's... More
