Our party stayed in this hotel twice on our tour of Vietnam. The first time there was a bowl of fresh fruit in the rooms, but when we came back 4 days later we didn't get any. The rooms were dark and didn't have a safe. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was quite poor. Most of the "hot" food was cold.... More

Place is decent, provides everything you need as a traveler. Nothing fancy, nothing bad. I agree w/ most of the reviews here. Few things to add. It was a nice touch to have a plate of unpeeled fresh fruit waiting for you. We got 1 mango, 2 persimmons, couple of bananas. They even provided knife to cut the fruits. 2... More

I stayed at the Thang Long Opera for 2 nights when I was on Business. This was my first trip to Hanoi so I am not very well versed with the city like I am with other South Asian cities. PROS: LOCATION: - 15 minutes walk, 5 minute ride from Hoan Kiem lake, a pretty little lake with a nice... More

My only real concern as a traveller is that the rooms do not have a safe deposit box. You can use reception though. It's in great location and handy to most main touristy sites. This has been the second time I have used it so I think that says it all.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it is close to the Opera House. You are better off choosing a hotel in or near the old quarter. Even if it is more expensive you will be able to explore the shops at your leisure and eat in the local restaurants when you choose. The first... More

The rooms were clean and tidy with a good sized bathroom. Plenty of hot water. No room safe although the agent told us that there would be one. The beds were rather hard but we at least had clean sheets. Ample room to spread out. We had an extra adult in the room with no problem. Breakfast was disappointing. Food... More

Upon our arrival at the Thang Long Opera Hotel we were escorted to the guest rooms. The lobby was quite small and the receptionist could not understand English very well but was quite helpful. The rooms were quite modern but would have been better if it was a bit bigger. The bathrooms yet small, was clean and well equipped with... More

We spent five nights here and were very disappointed in this hotel. The front desk and food staff for the most part were surly to the point of being rude. Only the cleaning people seemed happy with their jobs. Our luggage was late arriving, for two days I inquired if it had arrived and was mistakenly told it had not... More

Accommodation & Location: We stayed at this hotel for two nights in a standard room at $55 net / night. This included buffet breakfast, a clean but dated room, hot water for showering and good location for walking to see the sights of Hanoi. The room is comfortable, but does not have a safe box, and it can be a... More
