Good location, clean secure and good service. Breakfast only downside- really greasy. Also, electrics and plumbing a little dubious (but all worked fine!)

Central location, small friendly vietnamese decorated hotel. They sent me an email upfront whether we wanted a pick up of the airport or not. The rooms were big, the bathroom ok, the warm breakfast could be warmer, but there was a good choice. The manager helped us patiently to organize our trip to sapa (train)/ halong bay (cruise)/ hcmc (flight)....

As I arrived 8pm at the hotel (added "late arrival" on the booking form) I was told they had no room for me. They reception staff insisted to take me to the Hong Ngoc 2 hotel, where I stayed the first night (10min walk away). I had organised a pick up for the following morning (for my cooking class) and...

When we checked in at Hong Ngoc we were shown up to the 8th floor (no lift) to our room which to our surprise was in the roof!!! I asked the receptionist if it was possible to move floors to closer to the ground floor and my request was satisfied. We were moved the the 4th floor in what on...

This was our favourite hotel out of 5 that we stayed in Vietnam. The reasons were....

- Staff were always smiling...

For a Budget hotel in the old Quarter of Hanoi, large, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Safe, great location to walk from. Travelled with Exodus tours from top to bottom of Vietnam and this was surely the best hotel we stayed at. Also Breakfast was excellent with fresh authentic vietnamese dishes as well as western. This is the only Hotel...

We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Great hotel. Good sized rooms with great wooden furniture. Staff were more than helpful and always gave great service. The manager Dong was very helpful when we needed it. Nothing was a problem. We would stay here again for sure.

There are plenty of hotels in the old quarter of Hanoi, but most of the rooms we visited were small and seemed very cramped for two people. Plus most hotel rooms have no window.
The Hong Ngoc hotel on Hang Mann has rooms that are large and elegantly furnished with large windows. The hotel is also in a great location....

We only had one night here but liked this hotel. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and all the nightlife. The hotel is tucked away in a side street but this doesn't detract from the quality. The room was light, airy and filled with fantastic furniture. There was a mini bar and kettle etc; the bathroom...

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in the late July. The hotel is located on a busy street but the noise didn’t disturb us. Our room was lovely and quiet for very good sleep.
The lobby is spacious with a lot of wooden Vietnamese chair. Beautiful pictures, wooden, ceramic statues, vases are well decorated that reflects the exquisite taste...
