Spent three nights during two stays here, the rooms are wonderful, you get fresh fruit and a fresh rose on the bed with chocolate. The bathroom is enormous. Soft drinks as a welcome reception. Large breakfast. Excellent in-house restaurant with live music. The staff at reception are most helpful for whatever you need, they'll get things organised for you.

Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and provide great service. The rooms are clean and tidy and pretty spacious for Hanoi. Restaurant downstairs is extremely popular and provides breakfast - we've also had dinner there a couple of times. The ONLY drawback is that the suite we requested with a balcony (and was confirmed), does not actually have a balcony -... More

What a wonderful welcome to our SE Asian trip. The room was excellent and very comfortable, staff extremely helpful and friendly with very good English. We loved the breakfasts and the evening meals were amazingly exciting for us, fresh from the UK. The lovely reception staff helped to arrange our many trips and travel arrangements. They even escorted us to... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2012. We were greeted by very friendly staff who spoke excellent English, and upgraded to the hotel suite at no extra charge. The room was very clean and well decorated, with a great bathroom and refreshingly soft bed. The Included buffet breakfast was great, and the dinner we paid... More

Prices are going sky high in Hanoi. This small hotel offers a good price perfomance ratio. Sapcious rooms, good service and restaurant next door (which causes smell in the hotel small minus). Very well located in the center of Hanoi. BTW I guess this is more a tourist hotel than a business hotel location to facilities, reception area etc but... More

This Hotel is a plot of cleanliness in a dirty country. The room 101 is large around 45msq with a master bed room and 2 singles bed where we have slept 2 adults and 3 kids 9, 6 and 3 y.o.. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, even cosy, we have much appreciated after a journey of traveling.... More

I rate this a solid 3*** hotel which provides a relaxing atmosphere in the busy city, mostly friendly staff and the required necessities we take for granted, that were found missing in 2 of the 5 hotels we stayed at for our Vietnam trip. A computer was available, the restaurant offered us tea in the afternoon when we needed to... More

We arrived early from the overnight train but they were able to give us one of our two rooms, and we had the second before lunch. The restaurant was good for lunch and dinner (spring rolls are excellent, as was the seafood). Breakfast was less good--there was much confusion over eggs, and the buffet display was a bit limited. Coffee... More

We've stayed at the De Syloia many times, they always remember us, and welcome us like we are returning home. They are in a quiet location, but close to good restaurants, museums, shopping, etc. We find the rooms to be very comfortable, great beds... The in house restaurant is excellent. The staff, all the way from manager to desk clerks... More

I have used this hotel on many occasions over the past 10+ years and many of the staff remain since my first visit back in April 2001. The rooms are now in a good 4 star rated bracket and the hotel is still competitively priced. Breakfast are much improved for western tastes and although not my cup of tea, they... More
