In fact this hotel is not in my plan in Vietnam. However, during bour stay in Hue, i met some friends who just came back from Hanoi and they recommended us this hotel and i felt not disappointed. Everything was perfect. Very convenient location, friendly staff and the owner was extremely funny and helpful... its services met 5 star standard... More

I've been staying for 2 nights and it's my last day at this lovely hotel. "Great" is everything I want to talk about it! The hotel was actually not in our plan. I booked Halong and Sapa trip via Impressivetravlevietnam site and they arranged for us to stay here. Exceptional choice! The hotel is in the center of the old... More

Coming back from Halong, I wanted to experience with new hotel, it was the reason why I did not come back my fist hotel - its borther hotel, thaison Palace hotel, inspite of the fact they are in the same hotel group and I had nothing to complaint about our stay there and wonderful trip made by its staff. It... More

Here's my first negative review in 8 weeks of travel throughout Thailand and Vietnam. Pros: fairly comfortable mattress, small but ok breakfast, ok staff Cons: damp\musty\stained bedding, street noise, awful shower, aggressive sales pitch, expensive tours My wife noticed the musty smelling bedding as soon as we entered the room. That lead to her getting grossed out by the stains.... More

Arrived at 10pm after 40 hours of travel, needless to say we were extremely tired. They arranged airport pickup - one of the more expensive quoted at 20 USD. Arrived to a friendly greeting but they asked what we planned in doing in Hanoi - fair enough for most arrivals, but after 2 days of travel that was the last... More

Overall we had a good experience with this hotel itself. The breakfast in particular was something we thoroughly enjoyed as we could order pho every morning whilst we were there amongst the other selections available. Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted us with a big smile and helped us book our trip for the next morning to Halong Bay. The room... More

I recommend this property highly! I stayed 8 nights in the Thaison Grand. Staff were helpful and spoke good English, and concerned that I would have an enjoyable stay in Hanoi. They sold tours aggressively, but not obnoxiously. At the edge of the Old Quarter, but well within walking distance of Hoan Kiem lake and Hoa Lo (if you are... More

My friend and I lived at Thaison Grand Hotel for 2 nights on Feb 22nd and Feb 24th. We were very impressed by the super helpful, friendly hotel manager and staff as well as the cleanness, comfortable, quiet and convenient hotel room. The price was very reasonable compared with other hotels around Hanoi. It’s definite a good buy! We highly... More

We travelled to Vietnam in December 2011, and staying at the Thaison Grand Hotel on two separate occasions (we went to Halong Bay for a New Years Eve trip and then returned to the hotel). The hotel arranged a pick up from the airport which certainly took the stress out of the journey. On both occasions our room was really... More
