Camel City Hotel is in the backpacking district of Hanoi. It's right in the center of everything. I thought the rooms were extremely nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is always available to assist and they're happy to hold luggage for you if you would like to leave things behind and come back for them. Breakfast comes with the room.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in April 2012. Came back for another night after a Halong Bay trip. Super frinedly staff, impeccably clean rooms and beds, great location close to some good bars, restaurants and street food vendors. Nice and quiet at night time, had solid night's sleep each time. Checked out a few places before deciding to stay here... More

We arrived in Hanoi in November in the pouring rain after a 28hr bus journey from Laos. Lost and confused we couldn't have been more grateful when a guy from this hotel saved us! Had the best time here, rooms were immaculate, the staff couldn't have been friendlier, amazing value for money! Booked a boat to Cat Ba island with... More

Possibly the nicest people in Hanoi. A quiet Hotel in the Old Quarter. We really had wonderful service and built a great relationship with Mr Hi and Mr Huong. Booked our trip with them to Halong Bay, was a great choice as it can be difficult to choose which boat as there are so many. These guys are friendly, affable... More

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Camel City. The guys who run the place are a fun bunch - friendly and helpful. On our first night we stayed in a deluxe room which was lovely and we had some much needed R&R after 3 days trekking in Sapa. After a visit to Halong Bay we came back and... More

The staffs in the Camel City Hotel made our stay in Hanoi for a week very memorable. Upon arrival, we warmly received a coffee/lemon tea while various tour options were explained to us. We had an excellent stay. Staffs are extremely professional, so friendly and helpful with great service, special thank to Khui Ngoe Huig and Bui Van Hai. They... More

We, a group of 3 friends, stayed there for 2 nights and contacted the hotel directly by e-mail (cheaper than through booking sites). The hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance to hoa kiem lake (5 minutes), next to a "pub street" but in a small side street which is not too loud (regarding all the beeping... More

We booked Camel City through a booking website and selected a double. After arriving very early in the morning, we made our way to the hotel and were both able to leave our bags, and offered breakfast! The room wasn't available so we returned later to be offered a twin room (only recently married...) on the 3rd floor or a... More

Central location in old town which I liked. Building is old. No elevator but staff happy to carry your luggage. Staff helpful in booking tickets and tours without taking too much commission. Tours can probably be gotten slightly cheaper if shopping around and bargaining. Breakfast standard budget Vietnamese. Blankets and linen felt damp and not fresh - which may be... More
