Other 5* hotel in downtown Hanoi cost more than $200, Grand just $100, it's take 30 minutes taxi $7 from hotel to downtown. I stay here 2 nights, love this hotel, will stay again. Room size very big with hardwood floor, comfortable bed, sofa, nice view......etc. Bath room with separate tube shower, marble decor wall and floor. Buffet breakfast provide... More

This is a very long way from being a 4 star never mind a 5+ star as advertised. I have stayed here numerous time as it close to our company premesis, but it a very long, long way from down town. The rooms are great but that is prity much is it. There is a night club in the basement... More

I had the displeasure of staying here for a week in February and all I can say is I was not impressed by the quality of the hotel and the competence of the staff. Similar to others who have stayed there before, my room was a furnace even though the temperature was like 12 degress celcius outside. Adjusting the room... More

A very big hotel that seemed almost empty when I was there in Feb 2012. Big rooms but that was about it... Not suitable for tourists as is far from the city center but could be ok for business people who have meetings in the area (like I). Still searching for my favorite hotel in Hanoi...

....all afternoon and evening, I couldn't wait to check-out. I totally agree with the "business trip" review. I too was on a business trip. One problem I had was the room was "Africa" HOT..... 28.5 degrees C ( 83 F). I called the front desk and they sent an engineer to the room. He pushed all the buttons I previously... More

I stayed at the Grand Plaza for a 4-day business trip. I would choose another hotel next time I visit Hanoi. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I stayed on the 16th floor and all night could hear (and feel) the club in the basement of the hotel through the floor in my room. I spoke with the front... More

This is perhaps the tackiest and most gratuitously appointed hotel I've ever set foot in. It's like Giani Versace threw up all over the place. (even the ceilings) . Less then a year old and the paint and plaster is chipping and peeling. The workmanship is terrible. The marble in my bathroom probably cost as much as feeding a Vietnamese... More

You would assume that a 5 star hotel would have at minimum decent customer service, this hotel breaks the mold. When asked if staff could help me, a small female, bring my luggage up to my room they refused. Further more, the hotel was cheaply finished, they put in all the things to get them a stamp of 5 star... More

Well, my company and this hotel had a discount agreement so I could stay here not paying much. I didn't like its lavish decoration but the room was spacious, breakfast was good, staff were very kind too. Overall it was convenient and comfortable experience, but I wouldn't say "perfect" or "wonderful" for this hotel... there's something missing in it. And... More
