Wow. The best place we stayed in our 6 week Asia trip hands down. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful giving us advice and assistance on everything from good restaurants in the Old Quarter (69), motorbike rental (sorted out 5 bike rentals for us), directions (to the Water park 8km north), laundry (returned by next morning in a plastic... The hotel was very good value for money. It was in a fantastic central location, with a nice little bar/restaurant directly across the street. The staff were great, the rooms were clean and I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.Though, be sure to bring your own shampoo as their shampoo was strange. Cheers!

The hotel and breakfast were bland. The location is convenient. It is an okay budget option. We had been on an overnight train ride of 14 hours and the moment we checked in they sat us down and started selling us on Halong Bay before checking us into our room. We were tired and cranky and eventually wriggled out but... More

Location is good, as in middle of the old quarter, but I guess you can find better places. The room was pretty average, no real window even though there is a massive curtain. The breakfast looked so horrible that we didn't even try...well end of story: We are glad we only stayed one night and had a couple of beers... More

This is a small hostel that offers an okay value for the money as long as you are not too picky. The location is excellent if you want to be in the middle of the action of the Old Quarter. The room could have used some more cleaning, especially the bathroom. The aircon in our room did not work well... More

We were shocked when we came there because the room didn't look like in the pictures at all! We booked a deluxe room. The hotel is very old, the TV is ancient, the bath is terrible and the showercap wasn't working properly, no shower curtain. There was a bug sitting under my blanket. Good thing - they cleaned the room... More

This is definitely more of a hotel than a hostel. Room was spotless and cleaned everyday. Bathroom had a strange bath, like something from the Elf film i.e. It's tiny! Hostel has free internet, that's about it but it's close to everything. Don't use the mini bar they totally rip you off!
