This is not a 4 star hotel, so if you're expecting 4 star treatment and surroundings go somewhere else. The table clothes at the restaurant are stained, the staff barely understands what you need, no free internet in rooms (this is absurd), if you want wireless in your room a technician has to come over and connect it. We only stayed at the hotel for one night as we were on a tour. The hotel was excellent. The location was very near to the harbour where we went on a trip round Halong Bay. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. The views from the dining room are breathtaking. more

For once, Halong City is the worst choice for someone willing to see Halong Bay. You are much better off going straight to Hanoi and arranging a Cruise / Catba Island transfer.
