Stayed here for just under a week during april, and I had a decent enough experience. The grounds were very well taken care of, the only real problem I had with this hotel was the fact that the rooms are rarely cleaned. During a 6 night stay, we had a room cleaned twice, and a new towel once. We chose... More

Have stayed quite a few times - clean, cheap and right on the peaceful Bangrak Beach between Fishermans Village and Big Buddha. Reception staff are brilliant, restaurant staff are pretty appalling! Rooms are clean - the Deluxe one on beach is lovely for the view but to be honest the beach view superior ones are just as good for a... More

I stayed at this hotel twice in a space of a week. The first time was just going to be over night before getting the ferry to Koh Phangnan but as usual I met some fantastic people at Fatnoys bar (opposite) and decided to stay and extra night and again for two nights on my way back. So handy for... More

We stayed here for three nights in January 2012. This is budget accommodation, the interior of the rooms has aged with time however they were clean. The resort is located near the airport so at points there were some low flying aircrafts however we did not find this intrusive as they weren't constant. Our room was cleaned daily. The room... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the mermaid. We stayed on the bungalow side that don't have air conditioning. There is a fan though and it did its job just fine. On the other side of the street on the beach are the rooms with AC. One down side to the Mermaid is it lies in the direct flight path... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here on the off chance and ended up staying 8/9 days. The location of the hotel is good not far from chaweng beach or chamong beach. Also if staying here try the fishermans market on a Friday, Walking distance from the big buddha and local markets, 7/11's and lots of good restauants. Also by the... More

The basic rooms are just that...we took one look and went back to reception for an upgrade...the rooms were much better and cleaner but they are double the cost....the beach side bar is good and the food was good and reasonable...a few surrounding bars are ok.THE PREMIER BAR opposite does a fab fish n chips when youre fed up of... When we first arrived we thought we had found an absolute gem for the price we were paying (400bt) as the swimming pool is just by the sea and externally everything looks nice enough.. Unfortunatley when we got to our room it was not clean at all- dead bugs all over the Walls and floors, sheets with stains on and... More

Close to the airport and the SeaTran ferry pier this place is perfect for connecting trips with Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. The resort is close to the flight path for the airport but it is not too bad. Two swimming pools, and cheap moped rentals makes this a easy place to stay and get around.

This resort is set in a nice location with some lovely restaurants close by - I wouldn't recommend the hotel restaurant but try U2 restaurant just down the road - great food and run by a lovely family! The resort is split into two - the nice side by the sea and then across the road where we stayed are... More
