Lovely large rooms, smiling and helpful staff, this is a lovely property with a gorgeous pool area. It is right in town yet is still a resort. I would definitely stay here again.

Visited Chiang Mai with my family (2 kids, 14 and 9-yo). Confess that expected more of the city, but there are a lot of things to do around Chiang Mai. The Shangri-la is wonderful. We had booked two rooms, but since they could not put the two rooms close to each other, we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite (a...

The hotel has good facilities and the staff are very nice. When we had a problem with the meeting rooms booking, they did their best to solve it. They have a nice bar.

A good five star property. Nice rooms, plenty of closet space. Nice reception and lobby. The facade of the hotel is a bit office building-y. Pool is really nice. Breakfast is not great - if it's not included I wouldn't pay for it, there are amazing places nearby - a diner 2 min walk to the right with all the...

Second trip to Chiang Mai - ( first time stayed at the Chedi - whose prices now border on the obscene ) While not quite the Shangri -la Bangkok ( i rated that first of 16 hotels in Bangkok )-- you will not go wrong here.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us on your trip to Chiang Mai! However, we are deeply sorry to hear our service was not up to the usual Shangri-La standard especially for a guest who is so familiar with the group's top notch service as you.
We have passed your comments on to the respective departments and...

The Shangri-la chain is a wonderfully understated group...the newish Chiang Mai hotel is no exception. Expect exceptional service--check; clean and comfortable rooms--check; and value--check. A great place to stay within the city and walking distance to everything...the pool is pretty wonderful too...

We went to Chiang Mai because we were in Thailand - Koh Samui - and did not manage
to get a direct fligth home (the airport of Koh Samui is private and operates by Bankok Airways.
Thai Air has permission to land two times a day).
We stayed in a room with a balcony at the executive floor. Well worth...

This is a great hotel to host meetings and I had the opportunity to stay there for business recently. I got upgraded to the Club Horizon floor, which would be useful if you wanted free breakfast and to enjoy the happy hour, but didn't mean much to me cos I had other programs on.
The hotel has only 12 floors...
