There's no doubting that Banthai Village is a nice place to stay - but you would expect it to be for the price that you pay. However, we did not find our stay to be perfect which is what you would hope for for the price you pay. We booked four rooms for the same price, yet not all rooms... More

The hotel is just perfect! Our room was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The central courtyard with the swimming pool and the bar/restaurant is wonderful. By the pool or from the balcony of your own room, you can rejoice in a daily live show of Thai music and dance. Surely you will not need more... More

We stayed here the night before our Chiang Mai destination wedding and it couldn't have been more of a let down. For starters, the bed was rock hard. They literally put a sheet over a piece of plywood, it was miserable. The room was full of mosquitos which was surprising because we didn't have this problem in any of our... More

We stayed 4 nights with our 9 year old son. we were upgraded to a junior suite due to a reservation error and it was lovely. we spent our first night in a standard room which is too small for3 people. location great. Fab laundry service at enterance to hotel. breakfast could be a little more interesting...same old stuff. More

Spent 4 nights at the Banthai Village in Jan 2012 with my husband, during our honeymoon travelling around Thailand. It is a really magical, beautiful little hotel, with a unique boutique vibe. The traditional rooms are large, airy and spotlessly clean. The half-outside bathrooms were a nice touch, our 4-poster bed with mozzie nets was incredibly comfy. The hotel's communal... More

We stayed in the Ban Thai Village as part of our honeymoon trip around Thailand. This is a beautiful hotel with traditional Thai style. The rooms are a nice size and bathrooms are very quirky. The pool area is quite small so I guess you need to be up early to get a lounger but this really isn't what we... More

I loved everything about this place - its small size, the location, so central yet dead quiet (a feat for Chiang Mai !) Beautiful luxe rooms, contemporary lanna décor, outdoor breakfasts by the pool, polite staff. Would definitely stay here again. More

We stayed as a family - 2 adults and 2 kids for 2 nights. The entrance to the hotel was elusive and the taxi driver had to make a 2nd round the area before even spotting the Banthai Village signage. But it was worth the little getting lost, as we were greeted with much hospitality with smiles, complimentary drinks and... More

BanThai Village is an environmentally focused oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai. Despite it's central location, it is remarkably quiet. Visitors can relax poolside whilst sampling one of the many exotic and fresh drinks on offer at the bar, serviced by friendly and hard working staff. Those who have little time for such frivolities can stay on top of... More

When the taxi driver dropped us off, we were a little skeptical. However, once we got to the real entrance which is a little off the main street, we were thrilled! The staff was very friendly, the decor is authentic, and the rooms were charming and comfortable. The hotel is in close proximity to all of the attractions (you can... More
