We are a couple in our 60's and just spent 5 nights at the Queen Victoria Inn at the recommendation of a friend. We enjoy the ambience of small guest houses and the QV did not disappoint. It felt like home. The room, though basic, was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly, and the food served in their bar/restaurant... More

Good Location in the old City. The food, both Thai and western, was 1st class and very reasonably priced. I had read about the mozzie problem, so left the fan on. Wasn't bitten once. I was going to make some morning coffee, until I saw the kettle had moldy water. So much for that.

Rooms very clean and facilites are good and all work well. The price is reasonable and I like the old town so location good. The problems include mosquito's, very rude staff and noisy aircon. All in all I'm torn 50/50 on this place.

The Queen Victoria is located inside the city walls and only a 10 minute walk to Tha Phae gate where all the restaurants and bars are located. However, no taxi drivers knew where it was or how to get there so make sure you have the manager write down directions in Thai. The manager and staff were amazing. They were... More

This was a great score. It was my husband and my first time in Thailand and this was the first city we stayed in after arriving. I would suggest getting the address written in Thai before arriving as the tuktuk driver had no idea where this was, but eventually we found it. We were disappointed because I had asked for... More

My partner and I stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our it. The staff, especially Nong, were extremely helpful with suggestions on where we should go and helped us out when we had trouble figuring our where to park the scooter we rented. The elephant nature park that Nong suggested was superb. He arranged everything for us, without a service charge.... More

Spent 3 nights and enjoyed the stay. Staff were mostly friendly and helped organize any tour I would like. Location was a 5 minute walk to the Sunday night market, but otherwise a little out of the way. Restaurant has a main focus on Western food, but does have some Thai selections. A little pricey for my budget - most... More

For the price, this is one of the best stays in Chiang Mai. I intended to stay for 3 days and ended up staying 8. The hotel is centrally located in the Pae Gate area, and within 2 minutes of the central TAT office (which is brilliant for booking anything in Thailand). The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious and clean.... More
